The one-day series might have gone but India lived up to their world champions tag in the Twenty20, finishing with a thumping seven-wicket win in Mumbai. India's unofficial national anthem, the inspirational 'Chak de India', was played by the DJ about hundred times on Saturday. And it didn't inspire India a hundred times. They were inspired ten thousand times as they crashed, banged and walloped the Aussie attack to race to a seven-wicket win with 13 balls to spare in the steamy one-off Twenty20 international at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday.Australia have bossed around for most of the last month but India can take consolation from one stat: the last eight internationals between the two sides have been shared 4-4.
Chasing 167 to win at an asking rate of 8.35, the Indians recovered from the early loss of Virender Sehwag to a scorching Brett Lee delivery. Gautam Gambhir and Robin 'I don't like Twenty20' Uthappa learnt that they liked the Australian bowlers very much and tore into them.
They were also aided by some freebies from the Aussie opening bowlers, who decided to leave India by giving the hosts some Dusshera presents.
